University teacher wins the All-Ukrainian Karate Tournament

Master of Sports of Ukraine in Karate, teacher of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Oleksandr Kosiak won the championship of the All-Ukrainian tournament “Katana Cup 2024”, becoming the champion in the section “Male Team Kata”. Poltava Polytechnic’s athlete demonstrated excellent physical results and skills during the tournament.

University teacher wins the All-Ukrainian Karate Tournament

From 12 to 14 April, 2024, the competitions of the All-Ukrainian tournament “Katana Cup 2024” (UKF Premier League) were held at the Palace of Sports “Yunist” (Eng. Youth) in Chornomorsk, Odesa region. The prestigious sports tournament brought together about 500 athletes from 11 regions of Ukraine, 35 clubs as well as representatives of the Republic of Moldova, who fought for honorary awards and competed for the main trophy – the “Katana Sword” Winner’s Cup.

Master of Sports of Ukraine in Karate, teacher of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Oleksandr Kosiak won the championship of the All-Ukrainian tournament “Katana Cup 2024”, becoming the champion in the “Male Team Kata” section.

The athlete of Poltava Polytechnic, as a member of “WADO-KAI” sports club, demonstrated excellent physical results, high skills and teamwork. The athlete is trained by the head coach of Ukrainian Deaflympic Karate Team, Honoured Coach of Ukraine Mykola Bohodystyi.

The educational and pedagogical workers together with the student team of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” sincerely congratulate the champion and his coach, and are proud of his significant sporting achievements! Earlier, the Polytechnic teacher became a gold and bronze medallist of the Ukrainian Karate Championship among adults and won a bronze medal of the Ukrainian Karate Championship among adults.

Recently, a Polytechnic student became a gold medallist of the Swiss Kyokushin Karate WKB Championship, and Polytechnic students won the Ukrainian Armwrestling Championship among juniors, youth and adults.
